Uber is about to release its new app, which the company said is designed around what its users want.

“Gone are the days when everyone’s app looks the same. The new Uber experience is reimagined around a simple question: Where to?” said Uber.

The new Uber app will learn from your routines and will recommend “shortcuts” predicted by where you could be headed.

You’ll also be able to connect your calendar with Uber. Your meetings and appointments will then automatically appear as “shortcuts”.

“We’ll soon be introducing a new feature… that enables you to set your destination to a person instead of a place,” said Uber.

“Just sync your contacts with the app, type their name into the search bar, and once they’ve shared their location, you’ll be on your way.”

The new app will be rolling out globally on iOS and Android over the next several weeks.
